Cawston Heritage Society

The Parish Council is pleased to highlight the work of the Cawston Heritage Society, a local group dedicated to preserving and sharing the rich history of our village.

The Society manages a heritage collection based at Cawston Village Hall, where photographs, documents, maps, newspaper cuttings and memorabilia are carefully gathered and maintained for the benefit of residents, researchers and future generations.

Formed in 2006 (and recently renamed from the Cawston Historical Society), the group plays an important role in recording the story of Cawston and ensuring that local heritage is not lost over time.

Their website is a valuable resource, offering fascinating insights into Cawston’s past, including information on historic buildings, village life and local archives.

Residents are encouraged to explore the site, contribute memories or materials, and support the ongoing work of the Society.
